"We Found It!"

Patti and I have been friends for years and share the love for a poem my grandfather told me when I asked him what his favorite flower was, he said:

Tulips in the garden, 

Tulips in the park, 

the kind of Tulips I like

are Tulips in the dark!

Patti shared this poem with her sons as they grew up.

This morning, when I received this picture and the caption "We Found It", it made my day.

I realize something special has come full circle.

Random Act of Tulip in Altadena, California February 18, 2012 Today I was out in Altadena, California. It's just past Pasadena off of the 210 Freeway. It was the  first time I've been that far out on the 210. After a lovely breakfast with dear friends and Lily and  Buckley in tow, I found the perfect boarded window on a "for lease" building on the way out, for  a Random Act. I believe Altadena was the 49th City with at least one Random Act. From sea to  shining sea, there have been over 150 Random Acts to date. Have a beautiful day.

Spring Buds, Miracle Mile, Los Angeles, CA 2012 People say Los Angeles has no seasons. I beg to differ. If you pay attention, there is always something new coming up and out. These buds remind me, new growth is just about to burst forth!

See with your Heart - Free Humanity at Sunset and La Brea in Hollywood California. As seen by Andrea LaHue aka Random Act on Valentine's Day 2012. As I was heading home from bowling today, I spotted Free Humanity's "See with your Heart" paste up. Free is one of my favorite Street Artists, and he's agreed to an interview for this blog. I've sent the questions. Keep an eye out... I can't wait to get and share the answers. Dennis Hopper + This Means Mar + MADSTEEZ

Recently, while in Venice on Abbott Kinney, I came across this wonderful tribute to Dennis Hopper.      On the mural, Dennis Hopper is flanked by the shapes and colors This Means Mar is known for.  It is a cartoon-like juxtaposition to the more realistic sexy sirens found in many of Mar's paintings.
